New Training Tasks for Stepwise Loading in Isometric Bodyweight Squat with Active Posture Control

نویسندگان

چکیده

Isometric bodyweight squats are fundamental exercises in athletic training and rehabilitation. Previously, we measured muscle activity a normal squat posture (NSP) with the center of foot pressure (COP) intentionally shifted forward as far possible (forward-shifted posture: FSP), patterns varied significantly according to COP location. This study focused on stepwise loading strategy. Ten healthy male participants performed isometric previous study, adopting NSP FSP, three knee flexion angles (30°, 60°, 90°). The activities vastus medialis (VM), semitendinosus, tibialis anterior (TA), gastrocnemius lateral head were using surface electromyogram. further explored relationship between shifting electromyogram changes three-dimensional diagrams. In one-way repeated measures analysis variance by ranks, affected VM TA FSP. Combining these findings, tasks created train individual target muscles. ten examined all tasks, feasibility was confirmed accordingly.

Choosing a Lifting Posture: Squat, Semi-Squat or Stoop

Manual Handling involves the lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of materials and objects [1]. Training in safe handling techniques is a recommended way to reduce risk factors associated with manual handling within the working environment, particularly the lifting of low-lying objects as this has long been associated with an increased risk of lower back injuries [2]. However, manual handling...

Paraspinal Muscle Activity during Unstable Superman and Bodyweight Squat Exercises

The purpose of this study was to investigate the recruitment of the paraspinal muscles longissimus and iliocostalis during dynamic contractions of superman exercises on stable and unstable surfaces, and during unloaded bodyweight squats. Surface electromyography (EMG) was measured from these two muscles bilaterally while participants performed the exercises. Participants (n = 17, age 24 ± 3.1 y...

The effect of cluster loading on force, velocity, and power during ballistic jump squat training.

PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of set structure, in terms of repetition work:rest ratios on force, velocity, and power during jump squat training. METHODS Twenty professional and semiprofessional rugby players performed training sessions comprising four sets of 6 repetitions of a jump squat using four different set configurations. The first involved a traditio...
